What Is Online Counselling for Women?
A space held for you, the woman behind the responsibilities, the resilience, and quiet strength. wherever you are logging in from.
Online counselling for women is clinical counselling delivered by video, held with the same care and pacing as an in-person session. It gives you a way to work through what's weighing on you without adding a drive, a waiting room, or one more thing to arrange in an already full week and a life that already asks too much.
I'm Karmin Manning, a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling-provisional (CPCA), based at Hidden Valley in Lillooet, BC. I work with women across most of Canada, including BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
Wherever you're joining from, the intention is the same: a grounded, unhurried space where you don’t have to perform wellness, hold it all together, or pretend you’re fine. You get to show up exactly as you are.
Are You Carrying More Than You Can Set Down?
The burden that's easy to hide and hard to name.
Maybe it’s the exhaustion of holding everything together for everyone else. Maybe it’s the loneliness of being the strong one.
Maybe it’s motherhood, caregiving, or the invisible labour that never ends. Maybe it’s perimenopause reshaping your body and your mind.
Maybe it’s a relationship shifting underneath you; marriage, divorce, dating again, or trying to find yourself after years of putting others first.
Maybe it’s the grief of feeling invisible and yet terrified to be seen. Maybe it’s the ache of not recognizing yourself anymore.
Maybe it’s the quiet wish to burn it all down or run away, even though you won’t. Maybe it’s the shame of wanting rest, joy, or ease, and not knowing how to allow it.
You don’t need a diagnosis to justify wanting support. You just need a place where the truth of your life can land without judgment, where you don't have to explain anything perfectly before being taken seriously.
A Space Held Just for You
“Women carry whole worlds quietly. Counselling is the place where you finally get to set some of it down.”
Hidden Valley Counselling is a one‑person practice by design. When you book, you’re working with me, session after session, not moving through a roster of providers.
I don’t lead with a list of modalities. I lead with you. The work we do together is practical, grounded, and shaped by real life, noticing patterns, understanding your nervous system, exploring the parts of you that have been carrying too much, and building skills that actually fit your day‑to‑day world. It’s not about running you through a method. It’s about helping you understand yourself, your story, and what you need to move toward steadiness, connection, and relief. Your life doesn’t follow a script, so our sessions don’t either.
We follow what’s ready. We explore what’s been shaped by time and experience. We make space for the parts of you that have been buried under responsibility, resilience, and survival. We build skills and supports that fit your real life, not a checklist.
This isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you remember who you are underneath the exhaustion, the emotional labour, the burnout, the grief, the pressure, and the constant reshaping of yourself to meet everyone else’s needs.
It’s about finding the woman inside who hasn’t given up, even when she’s tired.

Why Women Choose to Work With Me
Counselling with me becomes a space to reconnect with the parts of you that have gone quiet; your joy, your strength, your needs, your voice, your identity. You get to remember who you are underneath everything you’ve been carrying.
Collaborative, not prescriptive. You won’t get a checklist or a “how to fix yourself” plan. We build the work together, following what’s ready and what feels true. I’m a woman who has carried a lot myself; motherhood, caregiving, rebuilding after hard seasons, navigating relationships, identity shifts, burnout, and the quiet moments where you wonder if you’ll ever feel like yourself again. I know what it’s like to sit in the messiness and still keep going. That lived experience shapes how I show up with you: steady, attuned, and without judgment.
Rooted in real experience. I'm in my third year of private practice, with years of crisis support work before that and a Diploma of Applied Psychology and Clinical Counselling from KCPC. My designation is provisional (MPCC-Provisional, CPCA), with the full designation pending Fall 2026. But the truth is, my work is shaped just as much by real life raising kids, navigating relationships, holding emotional labour, rebuilding myself more than once, and learning how to live beyond survival. I bring all of that into the room with you.
Accessible across most of Canada. Online Counselling means you don't have to rearrange your life to get support. I currently see Women virtually in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. You can show up from your car, your kitchen, bedroom, or a whatever hopeful quiet corner of your day you can get, whatever makes it possible for you to be here.
Genuinely small, intentionally personal. Hidden Valley Counselling is a solo practice by design. You’re not passed between providers or retelling your story over and over. You work with me, session after session, building a relationship that feels steady, safe, and consistent. I hold space for you the same way I’ve learned to hold space for myself: with care, curiosity, and the belief that women deserve places where they don’t have to be strong all the time
